I love testing out new restaurants in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. I’ve lived here all my life, so you could say I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and cafes. I’ve put together a list of my favorite places to eat. I’ve listed them, starting with my favorites. I hope you enjoy it. And if you live in the area, you should definitely check them out.
French Meadow Bakery – I think everyone who lives in the twin cities knows about French Meadow. How could you not? This place is a little pricey, but dang it is so so good. My favorite thing to order from there is their housemade veggie burger. I cannot stress enough how epic this veggie burger is. I am 100% having it delivered to my dorm for my next birthday. 100/10
Cafe Astoria – This place was such a fantastic surprise. It is a must for anyone who loves beautiful picture-perfect food and drinks. I ordered a delicious iced soy latte. My friends ordered the most beautiful rainbow matcha latte. I was in awe. They have other gorgeous specialty coffee drinks that I definitely need to go back and try. 10/10
Agra Culture – This place holds a special place in my heart. It is located within walking distance from my old High School. My senior year, my best friend and I would skip class (shh don’t tell anyone) and eat there for a long lunch. My very favorite thing to order is the Agra bowl. It has this basil pesto tofu that is to-die-for! I tried recreating it once and it wasn’t even 5% as good. There’s nothing like the real thing. All of their menu items are insanely fresh and high-quality. 10/10
Milkjam Creamery – This place is fairly new. It’s located in uptown, which is my favorite place to explore and find places to eat. Before I discovered this place, going to get ice cream always resulted in a stomach ache. I am absolutely obsessed with their flavor “black.” It is super dark chocolate and it is also dairy-free. The best part is that you’d never even know it. I am known for bringing all of my friends there. I have introduced so many people to this place because it is such a fantastic treat! 10/10
J. Selby’s – I discovered this place a year ago with a group of friends. I remember the meal well. I was with a bunch of meat lovers and this place opened their eyes to a whole new plant-based world. One of my friends ordered the buffalo cauliflower wings and they were such a hit at the table! I ordered the Mediterranean bowl and it was absolutely delicious. The entire menu is vegan and so insanely yummy! I love falafel, but it is easy to mess it up. These falafels were spot on. 10/10
World Street Kitchen – I love that this place is right next door to Milkjam. It’s really great to go there for dinner and then to Milkjam for dessert. This place has delicious guacamole. It’s not the healthiest, but if you’re going for a delicious treat, this is the place. I haven’t tried the tacos yet, but it is next on my list to try. 9/10
Wholesum – My friend introduced me to this place my senior year of High School. I absolutely love it. It is a great environment. It’s bright, quiet, and the menu is fantastic. The only drawback is the price. It is quite expensive, so it’s maybe not the most practical for a full meal. However, it is great for a smoothie bowl or juice to go. 8/10
Black Coffee & Waffle Bar – I went to this place for my 19th birthday. That was really an epic day and these waffles were the icing on the cake. These waffles come in so many crazy flavors. I love and appreciate the creativity. I recommend this place for people who live in Saint Paul that love a sweet breakfast every once in a while. 8/10
I hope you enjoyed this post. I loved putting it together. If you end up going to one or more of these places, tell me. I’d love to know!
